Styles
Fighting styles from default Combat to mythicals like Akaza, Goku, Garou and The World Over Heaven — unlock paths, elements and best picks.
Introduction
Fighting Styles are the hand-to-hand combat kits of Legacy Piece. Every player starts with the default Combat style, then can unlock elemental and mythical styles such as Goku, Akaza, Garou, Yhwach and the JoJo-inspired Star Platinum and The World Over Heaven. Styles add their own moveset, element identity and cooldown profile on top of your weapon and fruit, and many are obtained through NPC crafting with Money and materials or through quest routes. Choosing the right style is a core build decision that shapes both PvE clearing speed and PvP potential. The hub compares Money craft costs against quest routes so you can plan your currency, and covers element matchups that matter against late-game bosses.

Core Mechanics
Fighting styles sit in their own equipment slot and each style has a unique moveset mapped to your hotkeys, similar to weapons and fruits. The default Combat style is free and covers basic light and heavy attacks, while crafted styles add elemental damage: Goku (Earth), Akaza (Fire), Garou (Water) and Yhwach-style variants introduce different visual and damage profiles. Costs scale steeply with rarity — Goku needs 250,000 Money plus a Dragon Ball, Akaza needs 3,000,000 Money, and Garou costs 5,000,000 Money. Quest-based styles like Star Platinum (from Jotaro) and The World Over Heaven (Ruin City quest path) bypass money requirements but demand significant quest progress. Style Mastery works like weapon Mastery, unlocking stronger moves as you level it.
Advantages
Styles add a powerful second damage layer that scales well with your stats. A fire style like Akaza converts your combos into elemental burst, while timestop styles like Star Platinum and The World Over Heaven give unique crowd-control windows that dominate PvP. Quest-based styles are especially valuable because they sidestep giant Money costs — Star Platinum from Jotaro and TWOH from Ruin City cost quest time instead of millions of Money, freeing your currency for weapons, Haki and other unlocks. Crafted styles also give you deterministic progression: save 3,000,000 Money for Akaza and it is guaranteed, with no gacha involved. Quest styles also keep your Money free for other upgrades, which compounds quickly when multiple systems (weapons, Haki) compete for the same currency.
Challenges
Top styles are extremely expensive. Akaza (3,000,000) and Garou (5,000,000) represent major currency commitments that compete directly with Ace-tier weapons and Haki upgrades. Quest styles like The World Over Heaven require long Ruin City progress that may demand high levels and strong teams. Because each style occupies the same slot, you cannot easily switch — changing styles resets your Mastery progress and forces you to relearn the moveset. Element identities also create soft counters; a water style can feel weak against certain boss mechanics, and no style is universally dominant. PvP metas also shift with new crossover content, so a style that dominates this season may need a full relearn next patch, eating into your Mastery investment.

Quick Tips
Grab Goku style early at 250,000 Money + Dragon Ball — it is the cheapest complete elemental kit and carries you through the mid-game while you save for mythical styles. Check the official Trello before spending millions on a style — costs and unlock paths change with patches, and an outdated guide can send you farming the wrong materials.
Start Ruin City and Jotaro quest routes early even if you are not ready for the styles — the progress accumulates in parallel, so The World Over Heaven and Star Platinum unlock sooner than you expect. Use quest styles to parallel-progress your build: while you save for Akaza or Garou, the Ruin City and Jotaro routes give you free powerful kits that keep your damage competitive.
Stockpile Money before a new style launch — historical costs (Akaza 3M, Garou 5M) mean millions of Money are needed to stay current, and double-Money events are the cheapest way to build that war chest. Plan style purchases around double-Money events — saving 3–5 million Money is far faster during a boost window, so align your currency grind with the calendar.
